Dear Friends,

"You can't win, child. You can't break even. And you can't get out of the game!"
- The Crow's Theme as sung by the Scarecrow; aka Michael Jackson

While watching one of my favorite films
With my newly favored lady
The song struck me like a gospel hymn
Cuz, surely I must be crazy.Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow
How silly of me
How silly of she
How silly are all the dreamers
Then again
The only losers
Are self confusers
So I've polished my dashing demener.
The scarecrow did find his brains
Which were already nestled inside
For victory is a dish so simply plain
When approached with faith and pride.

Here's to a properous week. To being able to do even  more than breaking even, and to surviving this lovely game of life.

South Africa's Space Policy

The view from the Cape
As it has been explained
Resembles Heaven on Earth
The marriage of sun and rain
The scourge of Aparteid
Coupled with Mandela's peril
Transformed what was lush
To desolate and sterile
And now...
A communal sip of the World Cup
From which Pinotage overflows
Hints that the dark time is up
And I celebrate with prose
South Africa's National Space Policy

Financial Crisis to cost Africa $49 billion.

Stevie Wonder once spoke

Of living just Enough for the city
And as we grapple for hope
I am inspired by the ditty
The figures are in
And they seem grim
Revenue is low
Profits are slim
But i say ignore
This mad dash for Cash
For as another Song says
This too shall pass

Discovery Launches
The curiosity does not end

It was once believed
We would take to the skies
And live on the moon

Or maybe on Mars
But that's too far
Or maybe i spoke too soon

"We shall not cease from exploration"
Shall not shrink the horizon
Or accept limitations

Still a kid at heart
So when a mission starts
I get a strange sensation

Climate change on your web browser

NASA at your fingertips

The polar ice caps melt
The disputed global warming
The future is fragile
The reality is alarming
For all the sceptics
Who choose to disagree
NASA has something precious
That you ought to see
 3 Dimensions of change

SMS or SOS?Techno Savvy

Somalia and text terrorists

A beautiful mind

Loses its loving luster
When hate abounds

We are wind riders
We are sky surfers
We are satellite providers
And humanity workers
The best to you
Is what to expect

We will smile upon you from the stars
Ahmariah Jackson
